LS1 Designs

For Inquiry I designed a bookmark and a pencil case for the Gala on november 29th. All classes in this school will be selling stuff to raise school money.

First I went into my group and we designed one pencil case and one book mark.

Next I went into the slides were LS1 can put our designs in.

Lastly I did a feed back/ forward with my group.

I enjoyed doing this task. What I did well was make my pencil case. I need to imrpove on my feedback/ forward.

 

Problem and Solution

For reading we read three narative stories and wrote the problem and solution to each story. I made a DLO explaining the problem and solution and what a narative is.

First I went onto a book website and read three stories.

Next I went into a template and told what the solution and the problem was.

Lastky I made a DLO explaining what the problem and solution mean.

I enjoyed doing this task. What I did well was read the three stories. What I need to improve on my DLO.


Dragons Tale

For Writing I made my own blurb for my own story. I made a brainstorm of my narrative and I wrote it in a shared slides with my writing group.

First I did a brainstorm on my narative story called dragon tale.

Next I went into a google slides and wrote my blurb.

Lastly I went into craiyon to find a book cover to my blurb.

I enjoyed doing this task. What I did well was write my blurb. I need to improve on doing my brainstorm.

 

Figure It Out – Gala

For Maths we learned did word problems that relates to the gala. The Gala is when schools raise funds to buy more equipment for the school.

First I went on the mat and my teacher Miss White helped us through the first question. It was about the gala and we have to figure out what is the perfect saturday to start the gala. The catch is that every saturday there is always somthing to worry about like the strong winds. Not enough teachers are there and many more.

Next I went into different pairs with different people. Every time we do another word problem then we have to switch partners. My partners were Blake, Carlo, Kane and Hasna.

Lastly I finished and I blogged my work.

 

PB4L

For PB4L I made a DLO explaining how to take care of your belongings. Heaps of people in our school is always losing things just because it has been lost. That is why the consiquences are is that they are banned at achool. The solution to this problem is to leave it at home and never bring it to school again. HPE

For HPE we learned how to do shot put. We are learning this is because we are training for athletics day.

First we learned shot put. we went into a girls and boys line and we each took turns at pushing. Our coach wanted to see the best students who can shot put for the interschools.

Next I learned how to throw. We went in two groups and we had to throw as mush bean bags in the hole and I lost.

Lastly I went back and ate morning tea.

I enjoyed doing this task. What I did well was the shot put because I made it into the interschools. I need to imrpove on throwing it inside the hole.

 

Brief and Design

For Inquiry I designed a pencil case for the gala on the 29 of november. Each Class will be making a product to sell to the school.

First I designed my pencil case. I wanted to be creative so I drew a pokeball on the zipper and when you zip it open the the poke ball will open.

Next I had to make my bookmark. I ran out of ideas so I just used a bandage.

I enjoyed doing this task.  What I did well was the pokeball pencil case. I need to imrpove on make a better bookmark.


The Rainbow Fish

For reading we read a book called the rainbow fish. I recapped the story and I also summarised it.

First I went onto the book and I read the book. It is a interesting book because it teahces you not to be mean or greedy.

Next I summarised it. I wrote 20 key words and chose the 6 most important words to use those words for the storys.

Lastly I blogged my work.

I enjoyed doing this task. What i did well was read the story. I need to improve on writing my story shorter.

Bar Graph

For maths I did a bar graph about the results on my google form expaining what is the most answers for me to put in the gala.

First I went on the mat with my teacher I we explained what a bar graph needs.

Next I went off and did the task. I had to wrote two bar graphs that are a personal one and one material one.

Lastly I blogged

I enjoyed doing this task. What I did well was do the bar graph. I need to imrpove on finding a better result.

Finish It

Throughout this year, our Writing group has learnt different aspects of writing a narrative story. This week’s task was to “finish” 6 stories we chose out of the slides Miss Tele’a provided.  My favourite ending I wrote was for the story Miriama the Jester, because  it has a funny ending to the story.  I did well at was write the endings in a creative way. I need to improve on making up a better title I enjoyed writing the endings because it is funny when I put it together.
