Bar Graphs

For maths we learned about bar graphs. A bar graph makes you see the information faster than a tally chart.

First I went on the mat with my teacher to discuss our task. She said we have to draw the same thing we did two weeks ago but with bar graphs. I did not know what to do because I was cleaning up.

Next I went of and did my task. Last week my math group was not able to finish so we carryed on from what we did last week.

Lastly I checked with my teacher and blogged my work. I took photos of my work on a google draw to prove that I have done my task

I enjoyed doing this task. What I did well was take photos. I need to improve on making it more neat and using a ruler.

Telling the time

I learned how to tell the time between a analogue clock and a digital clock.

First I learned about the minute hand and the hour hand. The minute hand is the long hand and the small hand is the hours.

Next I went of individually and did a task of telling the time.

Lastly I checked to see if I have got any mistakes.

I enjoyed doing the task. What I did well was make the google slide. I need to improve on is telling the time.

Perimetre

We learned perimetre and measured the school field.

First we went on google maps. We had to estimate the perimetre of the school field.

Next we put in the correct perimetre. My estimation toltal was 719 and the correct perimtetre  was 455.

Lastly we had to add the perimetre together and write the total.

I enjoyed measureing the field. What I did well was write the estimation. I need to improve on is adding them  together.

Fractions

Fractions is how to split things into equal pieces. There are two things in a fraction and its called a numerator and denominator.

Unit fractions is one whole fraction sliced into equal pieces because unit means one so that means it is one whole fraction.

ordered fractions is ordering them into biggest to smallest like ordereing rocks biggest to smallest.

Numerator is what fraction it like a quarter, third and more.

A denominator is how many pieces there are in the fraction.

HPE

Today we did Kelly sport sand we played ripper rugby with tags.

First we played tag. We had to wear a belt to hold your tags. We run around then court trying to stael the tags of other people.

Next we practised our passing and catching skills.

Lastly we played touch rugby. We have 5 touches and if you lose the 5 touches then its the other persons team ball.

I enjoyed playing tag. What I did well was take the tags off  people. I need to improve on throwing the ball.

2D and 3D shapes

We learned about 2d and 3d shapes for maths. 2d means two-dimensional, 3d means three dimensional.

First we leraned what a octagon, hexagon and a nonagon.

Next we did a puzzle where we have to put the shapes where there names are.

Lastly we took a photo of the puzzle shape.

I enjoyed putting the shapes in the correct place. I did well was put them in the right order. I need to improve on is learn the names more.

Grouping

We learned about basic facts and we got counters to put them into groups.

First we made a google slide and made the title.

Then we got counters and put them into groups

Lastly we took a pistures and wrote the goups of x and x groups.

I enjoyed making groups because I can know what groups are. What I did well was write the groups of x and x gruops because the picture can help me know if its group of x and x groups. What I need to improve on is swaping the sentence around  because I keep putting the x group on the group of x and group of x picture to the x group.

Basic Facts Boxes

I completed a maths task called basic facts boxes. This task is based on where people can practise their basic facts to get more better.

First I got a stopwatch and my work sheet.

Next I started my stopwatch and then finished my work sheet.

Then I put my work on a google slides.

Last I took a screen shot.

I enjoyed this activity because I finished my work sheet and I got 10 minutes and 35 seconds. Next time I need to get a better time.
