Recount Structure – Tree

For Writing I made a poster showing the structure of a recount which is tree. The four parts of the structure are Tree, Reveal, Event, Ending. The most important parts of a recount is the Reveal and the Events. Reveal needs to have the five Ws which are who, when, what, where, and why. The events need to be in chronological order. The ending is what you enjoyed, what you did well  and what  you need to improve on. My first task was to make a accrostic poem of TREE. I also wrote the three things that need to be in a recount which are time connectives. Past tense and adjectives.

I enjoyed making it look appealing.

What I did well was write what the five Ws are in the recount.

I need to improve on adding the information.

Food Saftey Guide

For inquiry we learned about the food saftey guide. The food saftey guide is a guide that tells us if the food is safe to eat. There are 4 different types of instructions to follow to not get this microbe called camplyobacter, it is called clean, separate, cook and chill.

First I did a slide called food saftey guide and filled in the boxes with the information I know about that topic. I did a glossary of six words that was related to the topic and wrote what the topic meant. The topic all have to do with food saftey so It was kind of challenging.

Next I made a DLO. I made four characters that relate to food saftey and wrote why it is important to clean, separate, cook and chill.

Lastly I played this game called legends of learning that talks about the food saftey.

I enjoyed doing this task. What I did well was make the DLO. I need to improve on legends of learning.

Catapult

I made a catapult using a spoon, a paper that is rolled or a toilet roll, a cup and tape or a string.

First I taped the black papaer together to make a round tube. I put tape to make it secured.

Next I taped the spoon to my tube and I cut the cup to catapult a ball inside the cup.

Lastly I practice getting the bll inside the cup.

I enjoyed doing this task. What I did well was practising doing a trick shot. I need to improve on taping propley.

New Modes of Transportataion

I learned how to keep vehicles by desighning our own vehicle.

First I went into four groups and wrote a brain storm, explaining pros and cons about vehicles.

Next I did a template with my group and wrote some pros and cons of different forms of transport.

Lastly we designed our own vehicle to fix those cons. We labled the different parts of different vehicles and combined them into one.

I enjoyed designing my new vehicle. What I did well was did the pros and cons. I need to improve on os adding more information

 

Informal Letter

I learned how to write an informal letter. An informal letter is when you send a casual letter to your friends and family.

First I went in my writing groups and chose five different friends of mine to write a letter to.

Next I wrote five different letters so I know what to say when I am talking to my friends online.

Lastly I checked my spelling mistakes and the things I am missing.

I enjoyed writing my letter.What I did well was writing paragraphs. I need to improve on writing aout one thing.

Perimetre

We learned perimetre and measured the school field.

First we went on google maps. We had to estimate the perimetre of the school field.

Next we put in the correct perimetre. My estimation toltal was 719 and the correct perimtetre  was 455.

Lastly we had to add the perimetre together and write the total.

I enjoyed measureing the field. What I did well was write the estimation. I need to improve on is adding them  together.

 

Commanding Conversation

I did a task called commanding conversation.

First I picked any picture thats in the google slide.

Next I wrote anything of what the picture is saying by using my inference.

Lastly I wrote my name and added more details.

I enjoyed infering the picture. I did well was write the names. I need to improve on writing the story my entertaining.

Kelly sports

Today LS1 learned some soccer skills on the field. Our coach’s name was Chelsea.

First we learned how to dribble the soccerball. We were split into teams of two and played against each other. We had to dribble the ball to the other side and put our hands on our heads.

Next we were put into pairs and we learned to pass and stop the ball. When we pass the ball our non dominant foot should be facing where you want to pass.

Lastly we played a big game of soccer. The goal was to pass the ball amongst your team eight times.

I enjoyed passing the ball because I can kick and do some moves. What I did well was running and passing the ball because the team was dodging the ball instead of passing. What I need to improve on is looking where I am aiming because I keep on passing the ball to the team we were against.

Observal information

We retrieved information about an image.

First we looked at the picture and saw observal things in the picture.

Next we we wrote the observal information next to the questions but there might be fural questions and they might. trick us.

Lactly we did a image but there was only words so we read it and wrote the observal information next to the question.

I enjoyed writing the question because I saw the things in the image and write the observal information next to the question. What I did well was looking at the picture because I wear glasses. What I need to improve on is making sure the sentences make sense becaus it always make no sense when I write sentences.

ANCAC Quatrefoil

We made a quatrefoil but it was anzac themed.

First we made a copy if the quatrefoil.

Next we planned the shape, colour and, size.

Lastly we made it on the quatrefoil.

I enjoyed writing the plan because I can make it before I write the how am I going to design. what I did well was make the quatrefoil because of the plan. What I need to improve on is write quatrefoil propley because I keep writing quatrefoil wrong.
